Richard Paul Gadow's Obituary
Richard Paul Gadow of Preston, MD died Sunday, July 9, 1006 at the Memorial Hospital at Easton, MD. He was 86.
He was born Jan. 15, 1920 in Linchester, near Preston, the son of the late Edward Paul Gadow and Lena Plutschak Gadow.
He was an automotive body worker and was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish. He was fond of all of his dogs and enjoyed spending time in his vegetable garden.
He is survived by his wife of over 58 years, E. Lucille Harding Gadow whom he married on Jan. 30, 1948, two daughters, Linda Fairbanks of Preston and Debbie Sheets of Oxford, a son, Mark Gadow and his wife, Christine, of Hurlock; 4 grandchidlren; 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Larry Paul Gadow. He was also preceded in death by 6 siblings, Alpheus Gadow, Irvin Gadow, Jeanette Shannahan, Lillian Engerman, Adaline Wroten, and Leonard Gadow.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Staehli, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. Friends may call at the funeral from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
