Robert M Fisch's Obituary
Robert "Bob" Fisch of Seaford, Delaware; formerly of Federalsburg, Maryland passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones on November 30, 2022.
He was born on August 22, 1940 in Laurel Delaware to the late Howard and Bertha Brumbley Fisch. Bob grew up in Federalsburg, Maryland. Bob enlisted in the United States Army in 1957. Bob was stationed in Germany where he met and married the love of his life Maria Schulze. After Bob's enlistment ended, He and Maria returned to Federalsburg, Maryland where they raised their family.
Bob held a few jobs prior to beginning his employment with E.I. DuPont in Seaford, Delaware in 1965. Bob was employed at DuPont for 36 years and 10 months until his retirement in December 2001. Bob was a member of the fire brigade at DuPont. Bob worked many years of shift work and often worked extended hours or double shifts to provide for his family.
Bob was a hard-working, soft spoken family man with a great sense of humor. Bob enjoyed helping others which led him to join the Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Department in 1971 and remained a lifetime member until his death.
Bob enjoyed traveling with Maria locally to collect beanie babies and snow babies. They also enjoyed traveling up and down the east coast from Maine to Florida collecting lighthouses and enjoying Country Music Venues. Bob enjoyed Nascar and was a Dale Earnhardt fan and also enjoyed the NFL and was a Baltimore Ravens fan.
Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife Maria Fisch, daughter Linda Usilton, parents Howard and Bertha Fisch, Brothers Wilmer Toomey and Harvey Toomey, Sister Lucy Cox, and special companion Lorraine Mahetta. Bob is survived by his son Mike (Deb) of Apple Valley, CA, daughters Melissa (Sammy) of Preston, MD and Trisha (Bobby) of Seaford, DE. 8 grandchildren, Shane, Dan, Logan, Megan, Austin, Tyler, Michael and Ryan and 11 great-grandchildren, Kristiana, Kassidy, Tyler, Katelyn, Blake, Reagan, Owen, Devin, Vincent, Emmarie and Kinsley.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Inurnment will follow at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 and again on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00.
