Robert R. Harrison's Obituary
Robert R. Harrison, Sr. passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2016 at Talbot Hospice in Easton, Maryland. He was 86.
He was born on May 11, 1930 in Upper Darby, PA, the son of the late Morris Harrison and Julie Mitchell Harrison.
He was married on April 25, 1953 to Molly Harrison. Together they made their home in Federalsburg. He was the founder of R & J Paving in 1955 working with his brother, Joe. He was a former member of First United Pentecostal Church in Salisbury, and later attended Living Waters Assembly of God in Denton. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved music and enjoyed singing for family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Molly Harrison of Federalsburg, two daughters, Carrie Broadway and her husband Bill of Mount Airey, MD, and Charlotte Stanley and her husband Bill of Bear, DE; and one son, Robert “Rowdy” Harrison, Jr. of Federalsburg; one sister, Lizzie Harrison of Millersville, MD, and one brother, Jimmy Harrison of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Harrison and two sisters, Berthie Jennings and Mabel Harrison.
A funeral will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00p.m., and on Thursday from 1:00 to 9:00, and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
