Robert Lee Smith, Sr. departed this life on January 9, 2022 at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Easton. He was 72. Robert was born to the late Mildred Smith and Dorsey Holliday, Sr.
Robert (Bobby), attended Dorchester County Public Schools. He retired from B & G Foods, Inc.
Bobby loved life and lived it to the fullest. His children brought him pure joy. He filled their summers with adventure. The bond with his family and friends was undeniable. He had a love for cars and music.
Bobby leaves cherished memories to his daughters, Bernadette Hopkins (Harry) of Preston and Shelly Boulden of Easton; sons, De'Andre Barham of Federalsburg and Derrick Wilcox of Hurlock; grandchildren, Sanai, Chayla, Chastity, De'Andre, Logan, Smara, Derrick, Derrick and Jasmine; brothers, Joseph, Carl, & Bruce Smith, Dorsey Holliday (Laura); sisters, Diane Simms, Hope Smith, Patsy Camper and Faith Holliday, mother-in-law, Ernestine Boulden; brother-in-law, Royce Boulden and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Boulden Smith; parents, Mildred Smith and Dorsey Holliday, Sr.; son, Robert L. Smith, Jr.; siblings,Michael and Joseph Holliday, Frederick, Michael, and Jerome Smith, Ethel and Denise Smith and Carolyn Makell.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 11:00 at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00.
