Roberta Priscilla Ross' Obituary
Roberta Priscilla Ross of Federalsburg, MD. passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Caroline Rehab, surrounded by her loving family. She was 98.
Roberta was born August 30, 1924 in Bridgeton, NJ. She was the second of five children, born to Sylvester and Cora Price.
Roberta was a member at Ross' Chapel AME Church, Preston, MD. She served as an usher, sang on the choir, and worked in the kitchen.
She worked at Jack Legates Cannery, domestic work, Brooke Nagel Egg Farm for 15 years, and as a foster grandparent at Federalsburg Elementary School for 10 years.
She enjoyed listening to music, word search, playing bingo, eating out and Family Feud. She also enjoyed making her homemade applesauce cake that everyone enjoyed. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the Federalsburg Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, George Ross, Eugene Price, Sharon Ross and Janice Price. A brother, Frances Price, and two sisters Barbara Green and Kathleen Tasco.
Roberta leaves to cherish her memories Mattie Warner (Carroll), Joan Camper (Carnell), of Federalsburg, MD., Valeria Ross (Frank) of Hurlock, MD., and Patricia Ross Isley (David) of San Diego, CA. 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. One sister Virginia McBride of Vineland, NJ.
A funeral service for Roberta will be Saturday March 4 at 12:00 p.m. at Ross' Chapel AME Church in Preston, MD. Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m prior to the service. Burial for Roberta will take place at Ross' Chapel AME Churchyard following the service.
Thank the Lord for the Fairhaven Court families, they cared and watched over our Mother.
