Robert D. "Bob" English's Obituary
Robert Daniel “Bob” English of Seaford passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012 at home with his family at his side. He was 82.
He was born July 1, 1929 at Graterford, PA , the son of the late Howard M. and Brooksie Thomas English.
Bob was former owner of Ellis Concrete Works of Federalsburg, MD where he had worked for 39 years. He was a member of Delmarva Poultry Franciers Club where he and his son Greg, had shown show chickens since Greg was in 4-H. They had national Rock Chickens and had shown show chickens from Florida to Ohio.
He was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church where he held several offices, including a former Sunday School teacher, Superintendant of Sunday School, Chairman of the Board, and he spear headed the building of the Sunday School rooms and fellowship hall, and served as Treasurer of the Building Committee.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Reba Imlay English, whom he married July 10, 1948, three children, Gregory B. English and his wife Renee, Kevin D. English and his wife Jonna, and Sheila M. Tull and her husband Ray A. Tull, all of Seaford; 4 grandchildren, Lindsey Schilling and her husband Theodore (Theo), Brandon English both of Seaford, Shaun Tull and his wife Erica, and Christopher Tull, both of Rehoboth, DE, a great-granddaughter Ella Elizabeth Tull of Rehoboth, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Thomas English, Howard M. English, and Melvin English.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at Woodland United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Linda Eshelman officiating. Interment will follow at the Galestown Cemetery. Friends may call at the Framptom Funeral
Home, P.A. in Federalsburg on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
