Robert Lee Meredith's Obituary
Robert Lee Meredith of Easton , passed away at his home on Friday, February 2, 2007. He was 77.
He was born on November 11, 1929 in Federalsburg, MD, the son of the late Lee Meredith and Louise Gadow Meredith.
He graduated from Federalsburg High School class of 1946. He served his country as a Merchant Marine for two years and continued his service in the United States Navy from 1948 until 1952. He worked for Choptank Electric Corp. for thirty-seven years and retired from the Salisbury office as district manager. While district manager he belonged to the Chamber of Commerce and Wicomico Electrical Board and the I.E.E.E. He was a member of Federalsburg VFW Post 5246, the Salisbury American Legion Post 64, and the Easton Moose Lodge 1520.
He is survived by her wife Pauline Ivins Meredith, a son, Ronald Lee Meredith, Sr. of Salisbury, four grandchildren, Ronald Lee Meredith, Jr. of Preston, Jo Ann Murphy of Linkwood, MD, Phillip Meredith of Salisbury, Corporal Michael Lee Meredith stationed in Iraq, three step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, Justin, Amber, Serrea, Rick, Robbie, and Ariel. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Meredith.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Walter Wood officiating and interment to follow. Friends may call at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
