Robert W. "Bobby" Jenkins' Obituary
Robert W. Jenkins, “Bobby” of Federalsburg, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 30, 2009. He was 63 years old.
He was born July 23, 1945 in Hurlock, MD, the son of the late Curtis Jenkins and Ruby Johns Jenkins.
He was a graduate of Lockerman High School class of 1963. He worked most recently at Benmatt Industries in Federalsburg and worked previously for Johns Construction Co.
He is survived by his companion of thirty years, Beatrice Craft “Pete” of Federalsburg, three daughters, Tron Dennis of Berlin, Paulette Jenkins of Hurlock, Zelda Basknight of North Carolina, two children he raised as his own, Kwalla Craft of Hurlock, Arthur Darden of Federalsburg, three sisters, Violeece Jones of Hurlock, Ann Roberts of Cambridge, Delores Jenkins of Hurlock, two brothers, Dennis Jenkins and Jerome Jenkins, both of Harrisburg, PA, 13 grandchildren, Kitoya Basknight, Kamisha Basknight, Kwana Basknight, Darcell, Basknight, Kentra'el Basknight, Michelle Graham, C'Sara Dennis, Monica Jenkins, Mar'Kus Jenkins, Latteriah Cannon, La'Nyaija Cornish, Arthur Darden, Jr., Catia Darden, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Calvary UMC in Preston. Interment will follow at Johns Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wed. from 11 am to 1pm.
