Roland James Boone's Obituary
Roland J. Boone, of Federalsburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at his home. He was 69.
He was born on June 12, 1946 and was a son of the late James D. Boone and Gladys Hall Boone.
Roland graduated from Easton High School class of 1966. He had a passion for cars and especially enjoyed building models. He also enjoyed doing yard work, taking trail walks, specifically the outdoors in general. Most importantly, Roland was an avid animal lover, who enjoyed taking care of his pets.
He is survived by his three children, Lisa Reid, of Jackson, MS, Kenny Boone, of Escomdido, CA, and Ellen “Nikki” Boone-Mayo and her husband Rick, of Richmond, VA, 5 grandchildren, a brother, Robert Boone, of Marino Valley, CA, a sister, Charlene Bolling, and her husband, Bob, of Federalsburg and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federaslsburg with the Reverend Howard “Buddy” Dunn officiating. Internment will follow at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Caroline County Humane Society, 407 West Belle Road, Ridgely, MD 21660.
