Ronald Adshead's Obituary
Ronald E. Adshead, 80, of Seaford, DE passed away on Monday, October 2nd at Delaware Hospice in Milford surrounded by family and friends who adored him.
Ron was born on August 16, 1938 in Sharptown, MD to the late Ida and Walter Adshead.
Ron was employed by Delmarva Transportation in Greenwood, DE for the last several years- a second career that he loved and a second family with whom he was very close. Prior to that, Ron owned and operated his own very successful ceramic tile business for over 40 years. He served in the US Air Force for six years and always held a special affinity for the armed services and service men and women. Ron loved boating and the beautiful island of Chincoteague, VA. He also loved spending time with family. A man who never met a stranger, Ron loved people and he had the gift of gab. He was always a kind and giving man.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years Jeannie, his son Eddie Adshead (Susan), daughters Ashley Moran and Karin Mitchell, a brother Carey Adshead, a sister Carol Jones, two nieces and a cousin, and three grandchildren, Allison and Ethan Adshead and Josie Moran. Ron is also survived by four loving pups. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother George Adshead.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 7th at 3:00 p.m. at Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown, DE. Burial will be private.
