Ronald Wade Allen's Obituary
Ronald Wade Allen of Bridgeville, DE passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Laurel, DE. He was 48.
He was born on October 21, 1966, the son of the late Daniel Oliver Allen, Sr., and Bonnie Ellen Lankford Allen.
Growing up in Dorchester County, Ronnie graduated from North Dorchester High School with the class of 1984. After school, he became a truck driver and worked for Hab Nab Trucking, Estes Trucking, Black Gold Farms and recently for Amick Farms. He was married to Brenda Parsons Allen on September 12, 2008.
He loved hunting, gardening, fishing NASCAR and was considered a military history buff.
He was a member of the Sharptown Sons of the American Legion Post #218, and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Allen of Mardela Springs, MD; four children, Nathan Wade Allen of Bridgeville, Jennifer and Robbie Zimmerman both of Mardela Springs, MD, Bryant Zimmerman of Salisbury, MD; two grandchildren, Kayleigh and Kimberly both of Mardela Springs, MD; three siblings, Lisa Malkus and her husband Patrick of Cambridge, John Allen of Harrington, DE, and Daniel Allen, Jr. and his companion Renea Eisenhour of Laurel, DE; eleven nieces and nephews, Matthew, Olivia, Dustin, Mikayla, Dylan, Devin, Doug, Dana, Alex, Courtney and Jessica; Two special cousins, Donnie and Linda Allen of Seaford and Several other Cousins, Aunts and Uncles.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 2:00 at the Sharptown Fire Company Memorial Building. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00.
