Ronald Alan Nichols Sr.'s Obituary
Ronald “Alan” Nichols, 78 of Hurlock passed away on June 21, 2017. He was born on April 8, 1939 in Hurlock, MD to the late Paul W. and Virginia Boston Nichols. After graduating from North Dorchester High School in 1957, Alan worked in the construction business for most of his career. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Nichols of Hurlock, a daughter Connie (Ed) Overington of Preston, a son Paul (Jackie) Nichols of Preston, daughter in law Rachael Nichols of Hurlock, 2 step daughters: Lynn (Bob) Short and Janice Isenberg, 5 grandchildren: Ron Nichols III, Brittany (Phil) Aronin, Katie (Adam) Taylor, Kane (Ryan) Dennis, and Jonathon Nichols; a step grandson Rick Short, 2 great granddaughters, a brother David (Mary) Nichols of Waco TX, and 3 nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Ron Nichols Jr. and his brother William “Bill” Nichols.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, June 24th at the Unity Washington Cemetery in Hurlock. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund, PO Box 39, Preston MD 21655 or UM Memorial Hospital Foundation for Palliative Care, PO Box 1846, Easton MD 21601.
