Ronald Ricketts Sr.'s Obituary
Ronald George Ricketts, Sr. was born May 6, 1955 to the late George Washington Ricketts and Virgie Elizabeth Brewington Ricketts. He departed this life Wednesday morning at home with his wife Sabrina and family by his side.
Ronald attended Colonel Richardson High School graduating June 1967. Ronald worked and retired from A.I. Dupont in Seaford, Delaware after 35 years. He worked at Pictsweet in Bridgeville, Delaware from 2010 until his illness.
Ronald was an active member of Bethel United Methodist from early childhood until his illness. He was a member of the United Methodist Church Men's Choir.
He was an avid fan of football rooting for his favorite team-Giants. He loved playing scrabble with his family saying "he was the smartest."
He leaves to mourn the love of his life Sabrina Annisteen Ricketts whom he shared thirty years and married eighteen of those years. He leaves six children-Ronald Ricketts, Jr, of Salisbury, MD, Severa Fletcher, Alonzo Fletcher, Cameshia Fletcher, of Hurlock, MD, Ron'nae Ricketts, of Federalsburg, MD and Monique Jarman of Seaford, DE. A sister, Francis Jolley, of Federalsburg, MD, twenty three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His favorite aunt, Lutisha Gibbs, of Georgetown, DE, who he called to pray for or with him whenever he was feeling low and she came anytime, day or night.
A daughter, India Stanley, a son Ramon Pierre Fletcher, and a sister Julie Faye Brewington preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the Framptom Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Gary Meekins officiating. Interment will follow at Federal Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
