Rose Marie Weiland's Obituary
Rose Marie (Arcaro) Weiland passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at her home in Federalsburg, Maryland under the care of hospice. She was 87 years old.
Mrs. Weiland was born on September 24, 1936 in Wilmington, Delaware. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Ruth (Leathrum) Arcaro. She married the late James Frank Weiland on March 24, 1956, and they made their home on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
Following her college education Mrs. Weiland began a career in elementary education. For twenty years she taught in the Caroline County School District. As a second grade teacher she spent ten years at Greensboro Elementary and then another ten at Federalsburg Elementary. When not teaching she enjoyed time with family and spending time at the beach. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg.
Besides her parents Mrs. Weiland was preceded in death by her husband in 2007 and her son Jay Frank Weiland.
She is survived by her brother William Arcaro of West Chester, Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, July 25, 2024 in Hillcrest Cemetery, Federalsburg, Maryland starting at 1pm.
