Roselle Rieck's Obituary
Roselle Corkran Rieck of Preston left for her eternal home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at UMSMC at Easton. She was 92.
She was born January 30, 1926 in Hurlock, MD daughter of the late Carl Corkran and Bertha Cohee Corkran. On August 23, 1946 she married the love of her life, Robert E. Rieck.
She was a Member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston for 70 years and a member of the Ladies Aid for over 50 years. She had a love for cooking, flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Robert E. Rieck, a son, Robert W. Rieck of Denton; two daughters, Sharlene Rieck Steere of Hebron, and Melissa Rieck Phillips of Preston; three grandchildren, Whitney Steere of Baltimore, Wyatt Steere of Baltimore, and Robert Phillips, III of Preston; a sister Shirley Dickerson of Apopka, FL; her loving caregivers, Betty Hood of Preston, Rochell Smith of Federalsburg, Teresa Horn of Preston and Doodie Davis of Preston. She was preceded in death by four siblings, William Corkran, Margie Richards, Betty Howell and June Hurley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston, MD with Rev. David Casey-Motley officiating. Interment will follow in Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
