Russ and I served in the USAFR at Dover for many years together in the 2000s. Truly was a guy you respected both as a person and as a pilot. A guy you wished you were more like but knew you never could be. So down to earth and funny. His Hee-Haw donkey impression was the best. I stole many of his lines and impressions and did them for my young kids, they loved it but my wife thought I was a jackxxx, thanks Russ. A line from those ridiculous OPRs we used to have to write fits him perfectly, “we need 100 more just like him”. RIP old friend, you’ll be remembered and missed.
