Russell A. Powell's Obituary
Russell Alexander “Grissel” Powell of Rhodesdale, MD passed away on Friday, Sept. 7, 2007 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was 65 years old.
He was born Jan. 27, 1942 in Hurlock, the son of the late Adam and Lula Mitchell Powell.
He was a self-employed auto mechanic and was serving his second term as Brookview Town Commissioner. He loved painting, fishing, riding his scooter, and working on cars.
He is survived by two sisters, Blanche Powell of Hurlock and Shirley Breuil of Eldorado, one brother, Donald Powell of Hurlock, a granddaughter, Heather Gowen of Greensboro, MD, and several nieces and nephews. Two sons preceded him in death Mark Powell and Rusty Powell.
Funeral services will be held on Wed. Sept. 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with his sister, The Rev. Blanche Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Unity-Washington Cemetery in Hurlock. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
