Samuel E. Campbell, Sr.'s Obituary
Samuel E. Campbell, Sr. of Hurlock passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 30, 2010. He was 64.
He was born on October 17, 1945 in Cambridge, MD, son of the late Samuel Joseph Campbell and Virginia Frances Marine Campbell.
He graduated from North Dorchester High School class of 1964. He then served his country in the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He had served as plant operator for Delmarva Power & Light. He also had been a supervisor of Animal Control for the Dorchester County Sheriffs Office. He retired from the Dorchester County Sheriffs office.
He was a member of the Hurlock American Legion and the VFW of Rehoboth Beach.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Mattingly Campbell, five children, Scott Campbell (Roxanne) of Fall River, MA, Shawn Lynn Campbell, of Glen Burnie, MD, Candice Pung (Michael) of Pasadena, MD, Samuel Edward Campbell, Jr. (Danielle) of Glen Burnie, MD, Charles Joseph Campbell (Amy) of Plainsboro, NJ, three step-daughters, Anita Marie Arnold of Cumberland, MD, Stacey Ann Rose of Salisbury, and Teresa Renee Baker (Kevin) of Federalsburg, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Kay Frances Black (Warren) of El Paso, TX, and Joanne McCracken (Charles) of Prince George, VA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with Rev. Ruth Tull officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 pm on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will follow at Cokesbury Cemetery.
