Sandra Lee Messick's Obituary
Sandra Lee Messick “Sandy” passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE. She was 54.
She was born on December 17, 1959 in Gary Indiana, the daughter of the late Kenneth Krueger Sr., and Betty Elizabeth Kelly Krueger.
She married Kenneth Messick, Jr. on April 23, 1980. Sandy raised chickens and cleaned houses all while raising her family. Later she worked at Jeff’s Green House and Yale Sportswear. She had a love for flowers and her garden. She enjoyed spending time outdoors with her family and grandchildren kayaking, crabbing, fishing, and camping. Over the years, Sandy and Kenny had a passion for music concerts. She loved taking rides on the Harley with Kenny.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth “Kenny” Messick, Jr. of Federalsburg, three children, Angel Collins and her husband Chris of Camden, DE, Andrew Messick of Preston, MD and Sarah Messick of Galestown, MD, four grandchildren, Ciera Holland, Autumn Collins, Alexis Collins and Savannah Messick, two brothers, Kenny Krueger Jr and companion Crystal of Federalsburg and Donald Krueger.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Pastor Dave Stewart and Pastor David Talley officiating. Interment will follow in Unity-Washington Cemetery in Hurlock. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 and 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
