Sandra Kay Willis' Obituary
Sandra Kay “Sandy” Willis of Federalsburg, MD, known fondly as “Sandy” passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford. She was 58. She was born in Annapolis, Maryland on December 30, 1952 the daughter of the late Cortland David and Katherine Jenkins.
She was a homemaker. She had worked previously at the former Sterlings Market, also for The Pines in Easton, and the Sally Ann Bakery. She was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church at Oak Grove where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher. She loved her dogs, enjoyed going fishing, and was a published poet. She collected bells from every state and several foreign countries, and also enjoyed collecting trolls and Barbie Dolls.
Sandy is survived by her husband of forty-one years, William Ronald Willis, Sr., a daughter, Sheila K. Willis of Federalsburg, a son, William Ronald Willis, Jr. “Little Ronnie” and his wife Nancy Pepper Willis of Federalsburg, three grandchildren, Cheyenne Willis, Autumn Willis, and William R. “R.J.” Willis, III all of Federalsburg, a step-granddaughter, Katlyn R. Vazquez, several sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews, and in-laws, Albert and Norma White of Federalsburg, Sue and Donald Stafford of Seaford, DE, and Harold J.
Funeral services for her will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Everett C. Isaacs officiating. Interment will be at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12-1 p.m.
