Sarah Louise Johnson Frase's Obituary
Sarah Louise Johnson Frase of Preston, MD, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at UMSMC at Easton. She was 89.
She was born December 3, 1926 in Cambridge, MD, the daughter of the late Milford F. Johnson and Mary C. Johnson. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1944 and she worked at the C&P Telephone Co. as an operator in Cambridge. In 1948, she married Richard L. Frase of Preston. There they made their home on a chicken farm. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 2, 1995.
Sarah was a life member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston where she served in the Ladies Aid and Wings Society and a past member of the senior choir. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved cooking, gardening and taking care of others.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Warren Alan Frase and his wife Mary Ann, and Mark Richard Frase and his wife Carol, and Barbara F. Andrew and her husband Ron, seven grandchildren, April Frase, Eric Frase, Kate Frase, Ron Andrew, Michelle Frase, Ryan Andrew and Christina Frase, two great-grandchildren, Amelia Frase and Dori Frase, two sisters Katheryn Barnes and Margaret Ann McKenrick and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by five siblings, William Johnson, Robert Johnson, Norma Eberspacher, Jacob Johnson and Benjamin Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Preston, MD with Pastor Chuck Braband officiating. A viewing will be held from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg, MD and one hour prior to the service at the church.
