Sarah Louise Worm's Obituary
Sarah Louise Worm of Preston passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Homestead Manor in Denton. She was 91.
She was born in Easton, MD, on January 24, 1927, the daughter of the late Thomas Peyton Gay and Bertha Ellen Gay. Louise was married to the late Carlton L. Worm who preceded her in death on August 6, 1989.
Louise was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, being on the water, going to the beach, and working on the farm. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie Poole and her husband, Ted of Preston, two grandchildren, Alicia Greenhalgh and her husband, Matthew of Salisbury, Tracey Poole and his wife, Robin of Easton, four great-grandchildren, Colin Poole, Cloey Poole, Mason Greenhalgh, Turner Greenhalgh, and her sister, Katherine Hopkins of Easton, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by seven siblings, Frances, Elsie, Pauline, Delores, Lawrence, Eddie, and Bill.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2019 at 11 am at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Pastor Bill Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Junior Order Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tracey Poole, Matthew Greenhalgh, William Worm, Robert Worm, James Thomas Worm and Timothy Jester and honorary pallbearers will be Colin Poole, Mason Greenhalgh and Turner Greenhalgh. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Preston Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 44, Preston, MD 21655.
