Skip, Ryan, and I are deeply saddened by learning of the news of Scott's passing and we want to offer our heartfelt condolences to his sons, Sherry, his parents, and the rest of his family and his loved ones. We'll always remember him from the days he coached at NDHS baseball - his zest for life, his enthusiasm, his spirit!!! He will not be forgotten! Todd, who played ball with Ryan, is especially in our thoughts and prayers.##imported-begin##Debbie Messick##imported-end##
It was my great honor and pleasure to know Scott ("Curly") for as long as I've been playing vintage base ball (six years). He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word, great sportsman, and tremendous teacher of the game. The players of the C&P BBC always looked forward to playing the Fair Plays and experiencing again his wonderful spirit and generous manner. He was a wonderful friend, and we will miss him greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with Scott's family and friends.##imported-begin##Joe "Commodore" Stanik##imported-end##
I was sorry to hear about the loss of Scott. I drafted Scott onto the
Tri-Gas Senior league team I managed when he was 13. Scott
was such a nice kid. He improved
as a ballplayer and when he was 15 he was one of my starting pitchers. I ran into Scott several
years ago when he was coaching
Junior League for his boys. He came up to me and asked me if I remembered him. I think when he started talking I realizied who he was. Life doesn't always seem fair but the impact that Scott has had on others will never be forgotten.##imported-begin##Jerry Sutton##imported-end##
