Sheila Jean Richardson's Obituary
Sheila Jean Richardson (Wilson) of Federalsburg passed away peacefully at her home on September 12th, 2025. She was 71 years old.
She was born March 21st, 1954 in Seaford, Delaware, the daughter of the late Paul "Leroy" and Elizabeth "Libby" Wilson (Cooper). She graduated from Colonel Richardson High School in 1972 and married Michael Richardson in 1987.
After 43 years of dedication to Burris Logistics/Lineage, Sheila finally retired and joyfully spent every week with her newest grandsons, Elliott and Owen, in Pennsylvania. Sheila was very active in the local community. She was a member of Christ Church of Federalsburg and Union United Methodist Church, the Hillcrest Cemetery Committee, Boy Scout Troop 137, and the Federalsburg Elementary School PTA.
In her earlier years, she was an avid and skilled bowler in addition to blessing many weddings and ceremonies with her beautiful singing voice.
After the birth of her children, Sheila spread her love of Christmas by creating breathtaking light displays that lit up her corner of Laurel Grove Road. Families would visit from near and far to enjoy the love that Sheila had for the Christmas season.
Sheila is survived by her husband Michael Richardson, her son Paul, his wife Stephanie and their son, Henry, all of Federalsburg; as well as her daughter Laura, her husband Greg and their sons, Elliott and Owen of Catasauqua, Pennsylvania. Sheila will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Mike Wilson, his wife Ann and their sons Mitch and Matt, mother-in-law Kibby Richardson, and sisters-in-law Kelly Henry, her husband Alan and their sons Rick and John, and Kim Love and her husband Robert and their sons Bobby, Billy, and Jimmy. She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Bob Richardson.
Flowers may be sent to Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, Maryland. In memory of Sheila's many years of service and dedication to the PTA, please consider a donation to the PTO of Greensboro Elementary School, 627 N. Main St., Greensboro, MD 21639 (checks are to be made out to "Greensboro Elementary School PTO"), where her grandson Henry is a student.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 20th, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Framptom Funeral Home by the Coales, 216 N. Main Street Federalsburg, MD.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 10AM until Noon. A private interment will be for family only following the funeral services.
