Sherri Lee Morris' Obituary
Our beloved Sherri “Mickey” Lee Morris received her promotion to be our guardian angel on July 13, 2020. Sherri was born in Seaford, Delaware to the late Dorothy Delema Richards and Harland Lee Richards on February 28, 1949. Sherri attended Seaford High School. She was a Dietary Aid at the Seaford Health Care Center now known as Genesis Health Care. Sherri met Raymond and in 1981 they were joyfully married for 39 years.
Sherri was a member of the Faith Evangeliste Mission Church located in Coverdale Crossroads to the late Pastor Elsie Batts. Later, she became a member of the United Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Apostolic Inc., Denton, Maryland. She truly loved the welcoming and accepting her family at UCOTLJC. Her desire was to go with her family, but due to her illness, she was not able to continue to attend.
Sherri enjoyed fishing, crabbing, sewing, reading, listening and singing gospel music. Also, she extended her loving arms, warm heart and opened her home to Shannal Jones, James Morales, Tonda Hatton, Chasititiy Thompson, Willshira Akoglu (Richards), Johnny Maddox, James Richards and a host of other very special nieces and nephews that she loved as much.
Proceeding her in death, her parents, sister Marilyn Williams, husband Raymond Lee Morris. She leaves behind one daughter, Cindy Lee Morris one granddaughter, Tayleah Short, two sisters Zara Pandora Gambrell, Delmeta Blanchette (Charles) Young, sisters-in-law Mary (Larry) Bailey, Faye (Alfred) Johnson, Peggy Williams, Adele Morris, Francine (Ivan) Shockley, Vivian (Marvin) Burton, Carolyn (Robert) Mitchner and brothers-in-law Alvin Morris, Raymond Morris, Paul (Mona) Morris and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
