Sherry Halager's Obituary
Sherry E. Halager of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at her residence. She was 57 years old.
She was born March 19, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of the June E. Bryan Bender of Temple Hills, MD, and the late Thomas L. Bender. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Halager.
She had attended University of Maryland at College Park. She was an associate at Walmart in Easton. She was a member of Seaturtle.org and involved in sea turtle conservation. She was a member and past president Howard Co. General Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary. She was a member of Johns Hopkins transplant support group and a member of the Caroline County Humane Society.
Besides her mother she is survived by two children, a son, Mike Halager and his wife, Margie, a daughter, Kristine Halager, three grandsons, Robert Cook, Ryan Halager, Austin Halager, four brothers, Randy, Terry, Royce, & Darrel Bender, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Interment will follow at Maryland Eastern Veterans Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m.
