Shirley Wain's Obituary
Shirley Wain passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Caroline Nursing and Rehab in Denton, MD where she had been a resident for several years. She was 92 years old.
Shirley was born in Easton, MD on August 7, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Carlton and Amanda (McCrackon) Baynard. She attended Easton High School.
On November 12, 2005 Shirley married George Wain, Sr., and together they made their home in Seaford, DE. Shirley enjoyed the outdoors and together with George they would go fishing and ride the back roads. Most important to Shirley was her family, and she loved them dearly.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Jeanine Griffith, several grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren, her two sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband George, her son Calvin Stevens, Jr., and her daughter Anissa Blizzard.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30pm on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service starting at 11:30am. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
