Sidney Marie Cox's Obituary
Sidney Marie Cox of American Corner passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. She was 97.
She was born on August 4, 1912 in Federalsburg, MD, daughter of the late Roland Linwood Trice and Elizabeth G. Robb Trice, and stepdaughter of the late Elma Moore Trice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Wesley Cox on Nov. 1, 1975.
She and her husband were grain and vegetable farmers. She also had worked at the Shirt Factory in Seaford. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Janis E. Robinson and her husband, Donald L. Robinson of Seaford and Deana M. Banning and her husband, Edward Banning of Seaford, a daughter-in-law, Kay Cox of Secretary, eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one sister, Sarah Marshall of Cambridge, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth R. Cox, a great-granddaughter, Marci Dayton, five brothers, Theodore “Roland” Trice, Linwood Roland Trice, Leroy Trice, Charles Trice, Wilmer Trice, a sister, Doris Atkinson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with Rev. Rebecca Kelly and Rev. Carol Price officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:30-2 p.m. on Saturday. Burial will be private.
