Sonya M. White's Obituary
Sonya McDaniel White of Federalsburg, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at John Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore. She was 71.
She was born in Easton, Maryland on March 19, 1938, the daughter of the late George Arthur McDaniel and Etta May Hottle McDaniel.
She graduated from Federalsburg High School class of 1956. She continued her education at Bridgewater College. She started working at Canter’s Drug Store while attending high school and was employed there until her passing. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg.
She is survived by her husband, of fifty years, William Newton White whom she married on June 6, 1959, two children, Darryl N. White and his wife, Joann of Cordova, Amy W. Bennett and her husband, Ray of Federalsburg, seven grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, and Jaret Bennett, William, Matthew, Adam, and Sonya White, and a brother, G.A. McDaniel, III of Independence, VA.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg with Pastor David Heistand officiating.
