Stephen Earl Foster's Obituary
Stephen Earl Foster of Preston, Maryland passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Shore Health - Easton. He was 68 years old.
Stephen was born on December 29, 1955 in Easton, Maryland to the late Glendon and Mary (Councell) Foster. He graduated from Easton High and just recently celebrated his fiftieth anniversary. Following high school Stephen began his career at Moore's Lumber in Easton, retiring after the purchase of his farm and beginning his career in poultry farming. He also worked for 18 years at Nagel's Hardware in Preston. Stephen was married to the former Sandy Saylor. She sadly preceded him in death in 2021.
In his free time Stephen enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing, and he was a dog lover. Stephen also was a history buff who loved learning about the Civil War and would visit any of the battle fields that he came near. Most important to Stephen though was his family and spending time with them especially his grandson.
Stephen is survived by his son Stephen Theodore Foster (Laura) of Preston and his cherished grandson Stephen Lee Foster. He also leaves behind three step-sons Scott Jones (Jen), Robbie Jones (Shannon) and BJ Jones (Sandy) all from Tilghman. Stephen is remembered by his brother, Gary Foster, and his sisters Jean Saylor (Chittle) and Mary Jo Wright (Jerry).He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and his brother, Joseph Alan Foster. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service for Stephen will be announced at a later time.
