Steven Alan Keene, Sr.'s Obituary
Steven Alan Keene, Sr. of Bridgeville passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022 at TidalHealth at Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, DE. He was 67.
He was born on August 12, 1955 in Easton, Maryland the son of the late Paul Keene and Betty Mowbray .
He attended Colonel Richardson High School. After his education, he began his career as a maintenance mechanic at Con Agra which later became Allen's Foods. He later worked at Hills Electric wiring motors.
He was married to Wendy Forbes on July 2, 2005.
In his spare time, Steve loved tinkering in his shop, working in his yard, visiting and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Wendy Forbes Keene of Bridgeville; six children: Steven Keene, Jr of Federalsburg, Jeffrey Keene and his companion Kandace of Ellendale, Felicia Tingle and her husband Matt of Georgetown, Donald Pharo, Jr. of Bridgeville, Kyle Butler of Ohio and Jason Pharo of Greenwood; a brother Stewart Githens and his wife Rosie of Silver Spring, MD, Ronald Keene of Rocky Point, NC, Gerald Keene of Federalsburg and Barbara Street and her husband Byard of Preston and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son,: James Paul Keene and two brothers: James Edward Keene and Paul Arthur Keene.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 1:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Howard "Buddy" Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Framptom Funeral Home, 216 North Main Street, Federalsburg, MD 21632 to defray funeral costs.
