Tammy Tarel Taylor Batson's Obituary
Tammy Tarel Taylor Batson, of New Castle, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Christiana Care Center. She was 45.
She was born on August 2, 1970 in Easton and was a daughter of Priscilla Taylor and the late Jullion Cuffee. On May 26, 1990, she married David Batson, Sr.
Tammy was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in New Castle, where she served as first lady and youth leader. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved to live and was very much a people person. Most of all, Tammy loved the Lord and being an Evangelist. She loved ministering to people and spreading God’s Word.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, David Batson, Sr., of New Castle; a son, David Batson, Jr. and his wife, Charquea, of New Castle; a daughter, Taylor Alexander and her husband, Nigel, of New Castle; five grandchildren, Eric Hammond, Jr., Nadia Batson, Nalani Batson, Mya Alexander, and Legin Alexander; her mother, Priscilla Taylor, of Federalsburg; sixteen siblings, Ruby (Edward) Blockson, of Seaford, Starr (Rueben) Hargraves, of Felton; Terry (Richard) Fooks, of Greenwood, Jullion (Coretta) Cuffee, of Millsboro, Miles (Veronica) Cuffee, of Felton, Frank (Rocha) Cuffee, of Seaford, Melvin (Diane) Cuffee, of Atlanta, GA, Corinthian (Kimberly) Cuffee, of Felton, Micah Cuffee, of Dover, Angel (Anthony) Deshield, of Denton, Esther (William Crawford), of Dover, Jullion (Lenora) Taylor, of Hurlock, Mary (Eric) Waman, of Santa Clareta, CA, Brenda (Lewis) Richards, of Preston, Kevin Taylor, of Bridgeville, and Rhonda (Wayne Batson) of Elkton; a brother-in-law, Anthony Howe, Jr.; seven God-Children, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and special friends.
In addition to her father, Tammy is preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Taylor and one sister, Michelle Howe.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg. Interment will follow at Federal Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
