Theresa Lynne Beauchamp's Obituary
Theresa Lynne Beauchamp, affectionately known as Terri, passed away peacefully at her home on January 13, 2025. She was 64 years old.
Terri was born February 2, 1960 in Breese, IL to the late Reverend Dan Walker and Ruth McDowell Walker. After graduating from Kent County High School in 1978, she spent many summers working at Camp Pecometh. She eventually attended Chesapeake College and received her degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education. After teaching in Kent Island, she later came to Cambridge to teach at Head Start. At one point, Terri had started a local program called "FEED" to benefit hungry students at Federalsburg Elementary. With this program, Terri would fill backpacks with food and snacks each week and take them to the school where they would be distributed to those students in need of food at home.
In 1983, she married her husband, her partner in life, John Beauchamp and they made their home in Federalsburg. On December 30, 2024, they celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary. Together they had two amazing sons and a wonderful grandson. And she was looking forward to being a great grandmother in April.
For years, John and Terri have operated John's Four Seasons in Federalsburg. Terri was a long time member of Christ Church in Federalsburg. There, she participated in the church choir and helped shape the minds of the little ones in Sunday School class. Terri was an avid birdwatcher. Taking in the beauty of local birds and nature.
Terri is survived by her loving husband John. She is also survived by her sons: Joshua Beauchamp (Sarah) of Laurel, DE and Tim Beauchamp of Federalsburg; and a grandson: Joshua Beachamp, Jr. (Kaylee) of Norfolk, VA. She also survived by her siblings Dan Walker Jr. (Carol), Julia Scudder (Bill), And Nancy Robinson (David), along with several lovely nieces and nephews. Terri was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, aunt, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She will truly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
