Theresa M Cooper's Obituary
Theresa Marie Cooper went to be with the Lord in her heavenly home on Monday, February 9. She passed peacefully of natural causes. Theresa was born on October 12, 1941, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was 84 years old, with a very young spirit. She moved to Delaware when she was 17 and resided here ever since, where she cared for her family and made an impact on the world around her.
She dedicated her life to Jesus. She was someone who felt like home just by seeing the smile on her face. The light of the Lord truly shined through her. She had a caring spirit and a witty personality. She never hesitated to share the love of Jesus and how important it was to live by His word. She loved playing board games-especially Yahtzee-finding a good coupon, taking care of her animals on FarmVille, and, most of all, spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver T. Cooper Sr.; her son, Oliver T. Cooper Jr.; and her granddaughter, Kathy Marie Shaver.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Roland Ray McGinnis (Bea), Kathy A. Niblet, Robert Lee Cooper, and Penny Lynn Porter; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; her brother, Boy; and several dear friends.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Friday, February 13 2026 at 11:00 at Framptom Funeral Home in Greenwood, Delaware. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Theresa by living with kindness, sharing your faith freely, and trusting in the Lord in all things. If you wish to honor her memory, contributions to her family for unexpected expenses are welcome.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks for the exceptional care provided by the doctors and nursing staff of the 5th floor at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional.
