Thomas Edwin Marine's Obituary
Thomas Edwin Marine of Preston, MD passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at his home. He was 69.
He was born May 23, 1943 in Easton, MD the son of the late Edwin Hughes Marine and Hazel Elizabeth Jester Marine Kelley.
Mr. Marine was a graduate of North Caroline High School Class of 1962. He served his country in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 648, Military Order of the Purple Heart, the Easton American Legion Post 70, and the Easton V.F.W. Post 5118. He worked as a commercial fisherman, maintenance man and sold produce.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Spicher Marine, a brother, William Marine and his wife Pauline of Preston, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters Barbara Dietrich and Dorothy Todd, and a brother Donald Marine.
A funeral service with military honors will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Beulah with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Friends may call at the Framptom Funeral Home on Wed. from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
