Thomas James Murray's Obituary
Thomas James Murray passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2006 at Easton Memorial Hospital. He was 81.
He was born in Preston, MD, son of the late William C. Murray and Bessie Webb Murray.
He served in the United States Army. He worked in the tire shop for the former Preston Trucking and retired in 1988 after thirty five years of service. He was a member of the Truckers Club of Preston. He enjoyed collecting junk and hauling it around in his gray pickup.
He is survived by his wife, Freda Butler Murray, four children, Edwina, Maurita, Thomas, all of Philadadelphia, and Francine of Preston, two granddaughters, Cleonda of Dover, Tammy of Easton, three great-grandchildren, a niece raised as his sister, Virginia Sharp of Preston, two nephews, James Murray and his wife Anzilia of and their daughter, Maressa, Rodney Evans of Baltimore, and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by seven siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church in Preston with Rev. Arthur George officiating. Friends may call the church from 6-8 on Wednesday evening.
