Troy Steven Smith's Obituary
Troy Steven Smith, of Federalsburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Memorial Hospital in Easton as a result of an industrial accident at Chesapeake College. He was 33 years old.
He was born on September 22, 1974, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of William E. Smith and Carol A. Smith of Federalsburg.
He graduated from North Dorchester High School Class of 1992. He served his country by enlisting in 1992 in the United State Marines and was honorably discharged in 1996. He was an electrician and was currently working for Chuck’s Electrical Service in Centreville. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 5246 in Federalsburg, a member of the American Legion Post 29 in Denton, and was a member of Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company for several years.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Doris Medford Smith of Seaford, a brother, William Eric Smith Federalsburg, three children, Abigail Marie Smith, Victoria Nicole Smith, Steven Garry Smith all of Preston, a niece, Ashley Renee McMahan, two nephews, Christopher Scott Smith, and Jonathan Roy Smith all of Federalsburg.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Peter Smith officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and from 10-11 a.m. on Monday. The family has requested that memorial donations can be made to the Troy Smith Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 585, Preston, Maryland 21655.
