Vaughn L. Conway's Obituary
Vaughn Leslie Conway, known as “Cool V” of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE. He was 42.
He was born June 22, 1965 in Cambridge, the son of Flossie Marie Newcomb Conway of Hurlock, MD and the late Franklin Columbus Conway, II.
He was a graduate of North Dorchester High School class of 1985. He worked cutting grass, landscaping and at Allen Family Foods in Hurlock. He loved people and will be remembered as a warm and caring person, who often provided family and friends personal taxi service.
Besides his mother Flossie Conway , he is survived by six brothers and four sisters, Leroy Newcomb (Mary Lee) of Williamsburg, MD, Thomas Newcomb (Elizabeth) of Seaford, DE, Margaret Newcomb of Hurlock, Franklin Conway (Cindy) of Cambridge, Carroll Conway (Sylvia) of Hurlock, Reginald Conway (Brenda Penn) of Laurel, DE, Debbie Dobson, Alyce Berdaux of Hurlock, Ronald Conway (Loraine) of South Toms River, NJ, and Cherylon Conway of Hurlock. He, also, has three aunts and one uncle, Victoria Jones, Amanda Conaway, Dorothy "Dot" Palmer, and Joseph Newcomb, all of Hurlock, four very good friends, Derrick Wongus, Steven Aldridge, James Collins, IV, and Scott Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother Kendall Conway.
Funeral services will be held on Wed. Jan. 23 at 1:00 p.m. at the Full Gospel Church of God in Christ Jesus in Hurlock with Bishop Charles Cephas officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Framptom Funeral Home, 216 N. Main St., Federalsburg, MD 21632.
