Vernia Linda Fay Collins' Obituary
Vernia Linda Fay Collins, affectionately known as "Fay", of Seaford, DE passed away January 3, 2026 at TidalHealth Nanticoke Hospital.
Born November 5, 1948 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Lewis m. and Vernia Venables Parks.
Fay spent many years working for the Census Bureau until her retirement. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling and spending time around the water. She was married to Walter Beasley and until his passing in 2024, she spent a lot of time in Homosassa Springs, FL, one of her favorite places.
Fay is survived by her children: Alan Collins, Jr of Seaford, David Colllins of Suffolk, and Dennis Collins of Millsboro; her grandchildren: Dylan Collins, Trevor Collins, Samantha Karlov, Melanie Collins, Ava Moren and Anika Doxtater; and her brother James Cecil Parks.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Walter, she is preceded in death by her siblings; Arlis Parks, Bill Parks, Wayne Parks, Robert Parks, Marlin Parks, Otis Parks, Dorothy Parks, Gladys Bradley, Mary Ellen Lane, Marie Wooters, Marylou Nichols and Jean Parks.
A funeral service will be hed Friday, January 9, 2026 at 11:00 at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 10:00. Burial at Concord Cemetery will follow the service.
Following the burial, friends are welcome to jointhe family at the Federalsburg VFW to share memories and celebrate the life of Fay.
