W. Lloyd Fooks Jr.'s Obituary
W. Lloyd Fooks, Jr. of Federalsburg passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. He was 82.
He was born on September 17, 1931 in Rhodesdale, MD the son of the late Walter Lloyd Fooks, Sr. and Marie Wilson Fooks.
He was a graduate of Hurlock High School, and attended Goldy Beacom College and the University of Maryland. After serving four years in the United States Air Force, he operated Fooks Lumber Co. with his father and started Fooks Concrete, which he operated for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan Brown Fooks, whom he married on June 22, 1957, two children, Jeff Fooks and his wife, Sheila and Amy Fooks Wright and her husband, Mike, two grandchildren, Hunter and Taylor Fooks, all of Federalsburg, two sisters, Alice Fooks of Federalsburg, and Annabelle Davis of Seaford. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ezekiel Wilson.
A Celebration of His Life Service will be held at a future date.
