Wallace W. Robinson
St. Michaels, Wallace Willey “Wally†Robinson passed away at his home in St. Michaels, on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 surrounded by his family and friends. He was 71.
Born on March 24, 1940 in Woolford, Md. He was the son of the late James Henry and Lenora Willey Bradford Robinson. Wallace worked at the Acme Market in St. Michaels; he retired after 32 years of service. Following his retirement he started his own lawn care business as well as working part-time for the Harrison E. Leonard Funeral Home, and its successor R. Carroll Hurley, until retiring for health reasons.
Wallace was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He always had a smile on his face, and was willing lead a helping hand to anyone in need. Wallace was loved and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife of forty years; Betty Rose Robinson of St. Michaels, a son; Martin E. Robinson of Easton, two daughters; Joanne Linthicum (Henry) of Cordova, Toni Womack of Salisbury, a grandson; James Wallace Womack of St. Michaels, four sisters; Betty Pete (Roland) , Doris Robbins, Edith Bryant (Ray), and Barbara Mills, all of Cambridge. One brother; Roy Robinson of Church Creek, Md. In addition to his parents, Wallace was preceded in death by a sister; Beulah Elzey and her husband, Richard, brother- in-law’s John Robbins, Paul Watts and his beloved granddaughter; Laura Womack, and special friend R. Carroll Hurley.
Funeral services at 2:00PM, on Monday October 17, 2011 at St. Lukes United Methodist Church, St. Michaels a viewing for Wallace will be held at the Hurley & Ostrowski Funeral Home P.A. on Sunday, from 4:00 to 6:00PM.
Burial will be in Olivet Cemetery.
A special thanks is extended to his niece, Karen Phillips who helped care for Wallace during his illness, as well as his wife’s family who showed their support and Dedication during his battle with cancer.
