Walter Alan Marvel's Obituary
Walter "Alan" Marvel of East New Market passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the University of Maryland Medical Center at Baltimore. He was 79.
He was born in Greenwood, Delaware the son of the late Howard Marvel and Elizabeth Holland Marvel.
After attending Caroline County Public Schools, Alan worked for the former Con Agra Farms in Hurlock and the maintenance manager for most all of his career. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of being home and watching television, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He was married on to Debbie Milligan Marvel for 59 years.
He is survived by his wife Debbie Milligan Marvel of East New Market, a daughter Kimberly Brown and her husband Jeff of Easton, and two grandsons: Hunter Brown and Carson Brown; and two sisters-in-law: Connie Covey and her husband Kenny of Seaford and Bonnie Franz of Hurlock and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Interment will follow at Unity-Washington Cemetery in Hurlock. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00.
