Wayne Lee Jones' Obituary
Wayne Lee Jones, a life time resident of Hurlock, recently of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Wed. Feb. 5, 2014 at the Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. He was 60.
He was born June 12, 1953 in Easton, MD, the son of the late Harry T. Jones, Sr. and Margaret Oletta Grenadier Jones.
He graduated from North Dorchester High School Class of 1971. He was an auto mechanic working for Jeff’s Service Center in Hurlock. Wayne was a fan of NASCAR and the Redskins. He enjoyed music and was a drummer and sang harmony in bands known as the “Thunderbirds” and “Sapphire.” He was a member of the American Legion Post #243 in Hurlock and a member of the Sons of the American Legion for the past 11 years.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Ann Jones, two daughters Tammy Lynn Jones and LeeAnn Margaret Foxwell and her husband Jeff, both of Hurlock, step-daughter Kimberly Ann Cutchin of Federalsburg, a grandson Kasey Alexander Foxwell, two granddaughters Morgan Marie Abbott and Harleigh Renee Cutchin, and one brother Harry T. Jones, Jr. of Tampa, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 at 12 Noon at the Framptom Funeral Home with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m.
