William Petet Beall's Obituary
William Petet Beall, known affectionately as Billy, left this world on June 13, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on July 19, 1944, in Austin, Texas, Billy was a true Texan at heart, full of personality and always ready with a joke or a captivating story. He spent his early years in Austin, where he met the love of his life, Madeline, at the tender age of 14. Their love story spanned decades and states, as they raised their three children in New Milford, Connecticut, and ultimately settled in Federalsburg, Maryland, where Billy became an integral part of the community.
Billy's career with Dixie Marathon Paper Company was a journey that took him across the U.S., showcasing his exceptional skills in sales and marketing. His hard work, creativity, and dedication earned him the honor of being the youngest in the company to be named district manager, eventually leading him to the corporate headquarters in Connecticut.
As Mayor of Federalsburg from 2011 to 2015, Billy worked tirelessly for the community, with one of his proudest achievements being the creation of a splash pad for the town's children-a testament to his unwavering belief and investment in the potential of Federalsburg.
In his early twenties, Billy delighted audiences as Por Nada Pete on 'The Uncle Jay Show,' a beloved children's program on Austin's KTBC network. His antics, particularly the infamous pie-in-the-face skits, brought smiles to many faces and showcased his natural humor and charisma, which he carried with him throughout his life. Billy's ability to command a crowd and tell a story was matched only by his gift of writing, which he often used to write letters to the editor, perfectly intertwining constructive observations with humor and levity.
Billy is survived by his loving wife, Madeline; his children Beverly, Rebecca (Chad) and Benjamin (Denise); and his seven grandchildren, Megan, Steve, Ava, Nate, Celia, Greta and Benji.
He is predeceased by his parents William Otho Beall and Florence Petet Beall, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into Heaven.

Billy's faith in Christianity guided him through life's ups and downs, providing a steady compass for his journey. He cherished his role as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and leadership.
