William D Bennett's Obituary
William D. Bennett, 63, of Galestown, MD, passed away on November 4, 2021 at Tidal Health at Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, DE.
He was born on April 23, 1958 in Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland the son of Laurence Eugene Bennett and the late Marjorie Ann Phoebus.
Known to many as "Billy" or "Dave" he loved spending time outdoors. He started and was the president of "The Bennett Family Hunt Club". He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his dog, MJ.
He was the best listener, had the most kind and giving heart, and an amazing sense of humor.
He worked for and was a supervisor at Dart Container (Formerly Solo Cup) for over 40 years. He worked hard all of his life for his success and looked forward to his retirement. He dreamed of retiring somewhere on the water in Hoopers Island, Maryland where he could easily enjoy his peace for the rest of his days.
He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Robert James Bennett, and mother Margie Phoebus.
He is survived in life by his children: Crystal Johnson, Jason Bennett, Clayton Bennett and Katie Bowen; grandchildren: Aubrey Pete, Blake Bennett, Autumn Bennett, Truett Bowen, Desmond Walker and Gabriel Bennett; one brother: Brian Phoebus and a niece Jessica Phoebus.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00.
