William "Bill" Wesley Washington's Obituary
William Wesley Washington, better known as Bill, was the son of the late Edward Washington and the late Mary Ellen Batson, was born on October 12, 1950 in Seaford, DE. He departed this life on Saturday November 25, 2017 at University Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton, in Easton, MD.
On May 5, 1993 he married the love of his life, Linda Flynn Blocker. He worked for Venture Milling in Seaford, DE for years until they merged with Perdue and worked as a production manager for over 20 years. He was a member of Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church. He loved watching football, basketball, and baseball. When he wasn’t watching sports, he enjoyed going to the slots, taking care of his home, and spending time with his family, especially his grandson Isaiah.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Mark, Ervin, and Edward.
He is survived by his children, Tonya Peel, Philadelphia, PA, Anthony Peel, Philadelphia, PA, Brian Blocker (Robin), Houston, DE, and Tiffany Washington, Preston, MD, 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 7 brothers, James and wife Peggy, Calvin, Tommy and wife Jeannette, Jerome and wife Lois, David and wife Cecilia, Paul, Carl, Donald and wife Evelyn, and one sister, Connie and her husband Robert. He also had a close friend Jimmy Mitchell, and cherished Tyese as a daughter.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11am at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD, with Reverend Kevin Brummell officiating. A calling hour will be held from 10am to 11am prior to service.
