William K. Adams, Jr
William K. Adams, Jr. of St. Michaels passed away at his home on Sunday, October 9, 2011. He was 54.
Bill was born on August 24, 1957; he was the son of Virginia “Ginny†Adams and the late William K. “Billy†Adams, Sr. of St. Michaels. A lifelong resident of St Michaels graduated from St. Michaels High School. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Following his release from active duty in 1980 he returned to St. Michaels where he began a career as a commercial waterman, during the off season’s Bill would paint houses, and worked for Schultz & Son’s in Denton.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife; the former Sarah E. “Sally†Powell whom he married on February 9,2001 two sons Billy Adams III, James Adams, both of St. Michaels two step-daughters Mialisa Walbert (Jason) of St. Michaels, and Susan Zepp of Cordova, three sisters; Pam Schultz (Robbie), Sally Ewing, and Diane Abbott (Dave), two granddaughters; Sarah Patchett and Mercy Walbert. Also survived by nieces and nephews; Yankee, John, Leo, Danny, Jeff Schultz, Gretta Koontz and Larry and Barbara Campbell, 11 Great- nieces & nephews and 3 Great-Great nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved father, Bills was preceded in death by his maternal Grandparents Roland and Frieda Lomax, and his paternal grandmother Laura Morris Adams.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday October 12, 2011 from 2:00 until 4:00PM at the Hurley & Ostrowski Funeral Home P.A. St. Michaels followed by a reception at the Miles River Yacht Club at 4:30PM.
Burial will be private.
