William Howard Collins' Obituary
William Howard “Bill” Collins passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Harbor Health Care in Lewes, Delaware. He was 72.
He was born on October 24, 1942 in Federalsburg, Maryland the son of the late Earl Alfred Collins and Ruth Ellen Trice Collins.
On August 6, 1965 he married Patricia Ann (Patsy) Massey at the Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg, MD. She passed away on June 11, 1999.
William worked for Manloves, the waste oil plant in Sharptown, Zaffrey’s Bakery, Chambers Motors, Adkins Lumber Co., Bennett Security, and he sold Electrolux vacuums. He was a member of Blades Volunteer Fire Company, Sharptown Volunteer Fire Company, and loved working on small motors.
He is survived by a brother, Calvin C. Collins and his wife Sharon, a half-sister, Marie Lynch, a half-brother, Richard A. Lynch, two sons, Thomas Collins and Douglas Collins, a special nephew, Calvin Collins, Jr., and a grandnephew Brandon Collins both who took care of home repairs for William, a special friend, Allan C. Evans, Sr., who William said could do anything, his special caregiver, Melissa Edwards, who was always there for him when needed and McKinley Potter who adopted William as his uncle and took care of his lawn.
He is preceded in death by a son, Paul Collins, and three brothers, David Collins, Paul Collins, and Lester (Jack) Collins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
