William Edward Covey's Obituary
William Edward Covey of Hurlock, MD passed away at his home on November 29, 2024. He was 81 years old.
William known as Eddie was born October 4, 1943, in Preston to the late Spencer Gray Covey and Cleota Williamson Covey. He attended Federalsburg High School and later made a career in carpentry. He married the love of his life, Ruth Anne Milligan, in 1962 and they spent over 60 years together. You could find Eddie enjoying classic cars at the area car shows or in the garage wood working. He also enjoyed collecting old toy trains, and other antique memorabilia. He was lovingly referred to as a "talker" by family and could always engage in conversation. Eddie was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and he will be dearly missed.
Eddie is survived by his wife: Ruth Anne Covey; his children: Mark Covey (Sue) and Kevin Covey (Bonnie); his grandchildren: Charles Covey, Megan Russell (Eric), Rachel Schultz (Steven), Lauren Covey, Samantha Rodocker (Jason), Christopher Sharpe, and Matthew Sharpe, Sr.; and a brother: Kenneth Covey.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Grayson Covey and five siblings.
Services for Eddie will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Frampton Funeral Home in Federalsburg at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at 12:00. Following the service, burial will take place at Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering after the Cemetery.
