William D. Cummings, Jr.
Easton, William Dawson Cummings, Jr. of Easton, died at the William Hill Manor on Sunday, May 12, 2013. He was 86. Born in Bozman, on February 19, 1927, he was the son of the late William D. and Clara Richardson Cummings. Mr. Cummings or “Bill” as he was known by all, worked at various jobs in and around the Bay Hundred area. In August of 1944 he married Louise Tarr, they made their home in Bozman, then moved to St. Michaels. In 1945 he was called upon to serve in the U.S. Army, following his release from active duty in 1946 he returned to Talbot Co. For many years he was in charge of ground maintenance at Spring Hill Cemetery, Easton, until he retired in the early 2000’s for health reasons. Mr. Cummings is survived by a sister; Kathleen C. Cooper (Ken) of Bozman, two daughters; Judy Cummings Lowery and Bonnie Cummings Stinchcomb, both of McDaniel, four grandchildren, six Great-grandchildren, one niece, and his former wife Louise. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Clifton R. Cummings. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Bozman Cemetery, Bozman, MD. Memorial donations may be made to the Talbot Hospice Foundation 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD. 21601. Arrangements are by the Ostrowski Funeral Home, St. Michaels, MD. .
